...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY FOR NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND LANAI... ...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR THE ISLANDS OF KAHOOLAWE AND MAUI... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Lanai. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A kona low northwest of the state will bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms through at least Friday. The focus for excessive rainfall will be over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu initially, then will shift farther wester to focus over Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau on Friday. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.
