Walupt Lake Camping Area is a serene camping spot located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest of Washington. The campground sits at an elevation of 4,400 feet and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the crystal-clear Walupt Lake. The area is perfect for hiking, fishing, boating, and wildlife watching. Nearby points of interest include the White Pass Ski Area, Goat Rocks Wilderness, and the Pacific Crest Trail.

The campground features 70 sites, including 40 that are equipped with electricity. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables, fire pits, and a boat ramp. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted.

One interesting fact about the area is that it is home to a variety of wildlife, including elk, deer, black bears, and cougars. Visitors are advised to take precautions to ensure their safety.

The best time to visit Walupt Lake Camping Area is during the summer months when temperatures average in the mid-70s. However, the campground is open year-round, and visitors can enjoy winter activities such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Winter temperatures can drop to the low 20s, so it is important to pack accordingly.
